Coaching is a step above an instructor and typically requires a more in-depth understanding of the technical side of the sport and equipment. A coach will also be expected to support development of training plans and programmes, run training sessions and camps, and review sessions so feedback can be provided to athletes.
We have a number of members who are qualified ISSF D level coaches and hope to be able to host a ‘D’ course in the near future. In the meantime we are in the process of developing a WTSC coaching course which follows the ISSF structure closely and will be ideal as a starting block for those who wish to progress through the ISSF academy.
