10m Air Rifle

ISSF 10m Air Rifle is one of the disciplines currently shot at the Olympics. We use precision engineered Air Rifles which propel a lead pellet down range using either compressed air from canisters or a hand crank system.

10m Air Rifle is shot in the standing position. Shooters wear jackets, trousers, boots and a glove for stability and also to protect nerves during long periods of training and competing. The rifle is supported only by the shooters body.

Individual competitions are a 60 shot match with 1 hour and 15 minutes for competition shots. Scores are counted in decimal with the maximum score per shot being 10.9.
