Geoff Cooney (Chairperson)
Founder, owner, coach, ad-hoc carpenter. Geoff does it all. Geoff has been crucial in kick-starting Olympic Target Shooting in Ireland and is always ready to help newcomers and experienced athletes continue their journey in the sport. Geoff owns the WTSC premises and has spent years ensuring it continues to progress and develop into a top class training and competition facility. He is a qualified coach with a wealth of experience and is a credit to the sport.
Matt Fox (Coach)
Matt has vast experience in coaching both rifle and pistol athletes. He has experience with both the technical side of shooting and sports psychology. Matt does a wonderful job with athletes ensuring they work on both the physical and mental aspects of the sport. He has worked relentlessly for years to ensure the sport progresses and anyone who shows an interest can get involved. He has worked with all levels of athletes from picking up the rifle for the first time to hosting training camps for the Irish high performance squads. Matt also holds the position of High Performance Coordinator in Target Shooting Ireland.
